Requirements
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience across all aspects of RF device/system testing including test planning, conduct, and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of common RF components such as splitters, attenuators, amplifiers and frequency converters and their general RF performance characteristics
  • Solid theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles
  • Highly proficient in using RF test and measurement equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzer, power meter, High-Speed Oscilloscopes, Waveform & Signal Generator, Power Meters, AutoCal Modules, SOLT Calibration Modules
  • Working knowledge of RF design tools such as HFSS and ADS
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
  • Experience with designing automated test systems for various types of hardware
  • Comfortable with object-orientated programming such as C++, C, Python, Ruby
  • Strong documentation skills to track and root cause non-conforming hardware
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
  • Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to cover the entire test system lifecycle independently
  • Leadership skills to guide and instruct junior test engineers
Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functional engineering teams such as RF engineering, power engineering, FPGA, and Manufacturing to support product development and manufacturing
  • Identify and recommend RF test assets, capabilities, and technology
  • Design, rapid prototype, build, troubleshoot, and maintain RF test sets to measure RF power out, phase, gain, drain efficiency, and power consumption for high power amplifiers
  • Develop maintainability and calibration plans for RF test sets
  • Support Manufacturing in high-rate production and testing of RF components, provide guidance on RF-related issues during production test
  • Perform RF analysis using simple statistical principles, recommend data-driven improvements for RF test sets, methodology, and processes
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior RF design experience, proficient with using ADS and HFSS
  • Prior PCB design experience, comfortable with using Altium
  • Leadership skills to lead investigation efforts for RF failures
