Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • At least 15 years of experience in sales, including 3 years of experience in a sales management role, is required.
  • Experience building sales teams and defining sales culture is required.
  • Sales management experience in technology, advertising, or internet is required.
  • Experience in people management is required.
  • Fluent English and German communication skills are required to manage regional client relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Build and scale a high-performing DACH sales team through strategic hiring and development.
  • Foster a purpose-driven culture of psychological safety and execute a people strategy that ensures strong talent pipelines for sustainable growth.
  • Ensure Google's AI-powered advertising solutions deliver maximum value to the customer portfolio across products and segments.
  • Coach managers to establish a shared vision and build high-performing sales teams.
  • Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership team for DACH and the wider Central Europe organization.
  • Role-model effective selling practices and foster a high-performance sales culture that drives growth in competitive markets.
  • Lead a high-performing sales team and partner with businesses ranging from digital disrupters to mature brands and from small businesses to large companies early in their digital transformation.
  • Leverage AI-enhanced solutions to help customers meet their marketing objectives.
  • Define strategy for customers' products and services to reach users and drive business growth.
  • Innovate to help customers achieve business growth through digitization.
  • Enable the team to set and achieve ambitious business and product goals and objectives and key results.
  • Own the strategy, forecasting, planning, and execution of the business.
  • Collaborate with strategists, analysts, advisers, and support specialists to identify and analyze customer needs and trends.
  • Create and implement business plans for different types of businesses.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or master's degree is preferred.
  • Sales leadership experience and the ability to role-model the development of successful, long-term business opportunities and relationships are preferred.
  • The ability to identify, attract, and develop talent as an authentic leader is preferred.
  • Analytical skills to investigate performance, develop actionable insights, and galvanize action to capture opportunities are preferred.
  • Commercial acumen to develop dynamic joint business strategies balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainable success is preferred.
  • The ability to identify issues and priorities for regional or global escalation and escalation to product teams is preferred.
