Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an associate's degree plus two years of directly related work experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of directly related work experience.
  • Eight years of information technology experience with relational database management systems, including at least four years designing logical and physical data warehouse models.
  • Two years of experience with business intelligence structures and systems, such as data mining, operational data stores, and analytical tools.
  • Database administration experience with some or all of Unix, SQL, Informix, Oracle, and Sybase.
  • Extensive experience developing requirements for business intelligence, Balanced Scorecard, or Advanced Analytics applications.
  • In-depth experience designing and implementing relational database solutions.
  • Experience with data modeling techniques, data cleansing software, data replication products and technology, data access software, database performance optimization, and mainframe data migration.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end design of enterprise data architecture on the Azure Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Design and construct data warehouses, lakehouse-based data, operational data stores, and data marts.
  • Develop custom data models, algorithms, visualizations, reports, measurement models, and predictive models related to business metrics.
  • Design relational databases for logical and physical performance in decision-support environments.
  • Coordinate new data development and ensure consistency and integration with the existing warehouse structure.
  • Design star and crystal schemas, tune very large databases for complex queries, and design key and indexing schemes.
  • Perform business analysis, event modeling, data modeling, logical and physical database design, data acquisition and access analysis and design, database management system optimization, archive and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security, and change management.
  • Source data from legacy systems and load it into the data warehouse.
  • Participate in business intelligence solution work-stream planning, including inception, technical design, development, validation, and delivery.
  • Lead functional and project teams in identifying improvement areas, implementing improvement initiatives, and monitoring results.
  • Serve as technical leader for cross-domain integration and harmonization toward a Unified Data Model.
  • Guide Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Epic Analytics, and Power BI teams through architectural reviews, design patterns, and standards.
  • Partner with governance, clinical, and business stakeholders to translate enterprise objectives into reusable data designs.
  • Design data acquisition and ingestion across batch, API, file, and near-real-time HL7/FHIR source patterns.
  • Define source-to-target mappings and data contracts.
  • Design Unity Catalog governance, security, and PHI/HIPAA-aligned access controls.
  • Optimize Databricks SQL and data pipelines.
  • Establish data quality, lineage, observability, and replayable, failure-isolated load strategies.
  • Analyze project needs, determine required resources, and solve problems spanning multiple environments.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with leadership, physicians, vendors, project stakeholders, and team members.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance and comply with organizational policies and applicable standards.

Florida cancer centre opens 31,000 sq ft St Petersburg facility with on-site imaging

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute has opened a new 31,000-square-foot facility at Orlando Health Institute Square in St. Petersburg, expanding cancer care access in Pinellas County. The location at 725 6th Ave South features 18 private exam rooms, 47 infusion chairs and on-site PET/CT imaging. The facility offers advanced treatments including bispecific therapies and clinical trial participation, with plans to expand outpatient cell therapy programmes. Six board-certified medical oncologists and haematologists, supported by four advanced practice practitioners, provide care through a collaborative, patient-centred model.
