Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration or other master’s-level health professional degree, OR Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration Health Administration, or other health- or business-related area with additional experience as detailed in the first bullet under experience.
  • 7-10 years demonstrated progressive, relevant experience that includes project development and management, execution and closeout; program planning, development and implementation, strategic communications, and budget tracking.
  • A bachelor’s degree applicant will require an additional three years of experience to qualify.
  • Significant experience in a health care setting is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Simultaneously manage project scope, schedule, cost, communication, risk, quality, and resources for multiple independent projects or projects consolidated into a program.
  • Oversee and assign Project Managers to the portfolio of approved projects, ensuring adequate availability to support projects’ successful execution.
  • Serve as Project Manager to selected projects, adding to the PMO’s capacity to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Support project development efforts efficiently through processes including: conducting research and analysis, soliciting stakeholder inputs, developing strategic recommendations and executing within scope.
  • Manage and execute on deliverables as defined in the project’s scope and designate and/or track project resources accordingly; manage and meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Lead the team of project managers, supporting the team’s growth and development; utilize feedback from project sponsors and stakeholders to monitor and improve PMO performance and the success of SEARHC’s project portfolio.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication regarding work status and deliverables is provided to project stakeholders.
  • Be a direct point of contact between the Project Management team and other departments and divisions within the Consortium, providing effective direction to ensure expectations are properly managed.
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Significant experience in a health care setting is preferred.

Juneau Youth Services provides emergency, residential, and community-based behavioral health care for children, teens, and their families in Alaska. Services are tailored and strengths-based, delivered in home-like, least-restrictive settings where trained caregivers and clinical professionals form therapeutic relationships to support youth development and family functioning. The programs operate under the Teaching Family Model and focus on keeping or reunifying children with their families when appropriate. The organization has about 25 staff and positions itself as the leading youth- and family-focused behavioral health provider in Juneau, aiming to help vulnerable youth succeed and thrive.
