Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA license required
  • 5+ years post qualified experience with 3+ years being in public accounting including provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and some IFRS
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience in building sustainable and effective stakeholder relationships
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing internal and external financial statements under US GAAP, including group consolidation and the annual report
  • Operationalizing core finance processes, including both day-to-day and cyclical activities, such as financial accounting, billing, and payments
  • Strong communication, analytical and management skills
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors
  • Support the strategic development of the finance function by developing and implementing improvements to the broader organizational needs including in controls, policies, processes, systems, and reporting
  • Developing and maintaining progressive finance and accounting solutions to support and enable the operations of trust
  • Designing and implementing strategic initiatives and projects in collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Supporting the management of the budget process
  • Assessing current accounting and financial operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems through ongoing monitoring and sample testing
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax compliance
