Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of related experience and/or training are required.
  • A valid Michigan driver’s license and insurability through Bronson’s carrier may be required depending on job responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of PAR inventory and replenishment is required.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide outstanding customer service is required.
  • Sound math, counting, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to move quickly throughout the hospital on stat calls.
  • The ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize is required.
  • Effective use of technology and the Materials Management Information Systems is required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare products and their basic use is required.
  • The role requires regularly lifting bulky or moderately heavy weights up to 50 pounds and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or exerting equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling materials, equipment, and other objects.
  • The employee must use correct body positioning, proper body mechanics, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment when necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain supplies and linen through accurate PAR-level inventory counts.
  • Control utilization of materials and monitor PAR levels.
  • Accurately verify, retrieve, and distribute supplies, materials, and equipment to corresponding departments, including off-site locations as required.
  • Organize and monitor supplies for expiration dates and package integrity to ensure sterilization is not compromised.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by keeping the work area free of hazards and correcting or properly reporting safety hazards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
