Nav is seeking a Director of Legal Operations with experience in the financial industry to join the Legal, Risk and Compliance Department. The Director of Legal Operations will support the General Counsel with strategic and administrative responsibility, inclusive of, but not limited to, systems administration, knowledge management, process/procedure development and documentation, and other core responsibilities to ensure seamless operations within the Legal Team.We are looking for a confident, professional, detail-oriented individual to jump right into a lean and agile team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE EMPOWERED TO DO?
- Drive and influence implementation of processes and technologies that enable operational efficiency on foundational matters like intake, contracting, task tracking, knowledge and records management, and other critical needs to run the Legal Team
- Design, develop, and implement systems, policies, and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and alignment company-wide. Source, evaluate, test and support technology solutions relevant to Legal Operations including CLM, document management solutions, workflow tools, and more
- Enable efficiencies by creating seamless access to legal and department institutional knowledge through the organization and centralization of key templates, policies, processes, and other knowledge materials
- Be a thought leader for how to improve Legal Team operations and processes as the company grows, staying abreast of latest legal technology developments and assessing capabilities of solutions
- Identify measures of successful adoption, utilization, proficiency, and risk mitigation
- Grow and lead a team of Legal Operations professionals
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Master’s degree in Law from an accredited university
- At least 8 years of legal and business experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and accomplishments
- Experience designing and implementing documentation, reports, and related work throughout a project lifecycle and ensuring that assigned duties and responsibilities/project results are completed
- Ability to organize, think critically, strategically and tactically, meeting deadlines yet remaining flexible in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with internal collaborators, outside vendors, and other parties
