Requirements
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • A minimum of twelve years of job-related experience is required.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a position-relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited school is required.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to project design is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform independent planning and design tasks, review the work of others, prepare construction documents, and deliver projects to completion.
  • Coordinate overall design activities and project submission schedules.
  • Perform final quality assurance and quality control reviews of project submissions.
  • Develop schedules, technical proposals, and labor-hour estimates.
  • Work with project teams to describe and deliver the scope of work.
  • Promote and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Perform and check design calculations and technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain design budgets for complex scopes of work.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to engineering associates and interns to help develop their technical skills, design intuition, and professional growth.
  • Meet established project budgets and schedules.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/InRoads, and/or hydrologic and hydraulic software packages for site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plan design or other discipline-specific programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams in delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a commitment to technical excellence and innovation.
  • A desire to expand engineering knowledge and take on new responsibilities.
