Requirements
  • Experience in development and assessment of financial policies, standards and associated controls that govern statutory and regulatory reporting obligations, and analysis of financial data and industry trends to identify areas for policy improvement or revision.
  • Experience managing the implementation of financial and regulatory policies across the bank's departments and business units, and providing support to employees on interpretation and application of policies.

  • Strong communication skills to clearly communicate financial and regulatory policies to stakeholders, and ability to develop and deliver training programs on financial and regulatory policies.
  • Experience managing communication with regulatory authorities to gain insights into upcoming regulatory changes and expectations, and participating in regulatory consultations and providing feedback on proposed regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and assess financial policies, standards and associated controls that govern the bank's statutory and regulatory reporting obligations, and analyze financial data and industry trends to identify areas for policy improvement or revision.
  • Manage the implementation of financial and regulatory policies across the bank's departments and business units, and provide support to employees on the interpretation and application of policies.
  • Continuously review evolving laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance affecting the bank's operations, and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the bank's business activities, financial performance, and risk profile.
  • Communicate financial and regulatory policies to relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, and develop and deliver training programs on financial and regulatory policies to ensure employee understanding and adherence.
  • Manage communication with regulatory authorities to gain insights into upcoming regulatory changes and expectations and participate in regulatory consultations and provide feedback on proposed regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Leadership and people management experience, including defining roles and responsibilities, planning for department needs, and counseling employees on performance; ability to lead specialists to influence operations while aligning with strategic and tactical priorities; manage budgets and schedules.
  • Subject matter expert in Capital Regulations, specifically Prudential Regulations; primary lead for UK and EU related capital interpretations; experience addressing regulatory issues with reference to prudential sources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought; experience working with senior stakeholders; ability to conduct risk and controls assessment, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to influence and negotiate to achieve outcomes.
