Finance Program Manager – Billerica Site

The Finance Program Manager is responsible for leading all finance related activities and processes for the Billerica, MA (Affera) manufacturing site while partnering with the Site Manufacturing Leader and their extended leadership team. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnering, timely analysis, clear communication, and superior financial acumen to drive alignment on objectives and to achieve outstanding financial results.
As the Finance Program Manager, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of the site. The primary focus will be optimizing financial performance, driving cost efficiency, supporting growth strategies, evaluating capital investments, prioritizing headcount, cost center spend analysis, and manufacturing variance analysis. Position reports to the Director of Finance, East Region.

Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
Lead budgeting/forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and processes while identifying areas for improvement
Monitor and analyze expenses, visualize complex end to end processes, drive insights, and recommend changes as necessary
Performance Management:
Oversee financial key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the financial health of the site and provided actional improvement plans as necessary
Provide analysis to assess and improve cost variances, yield, labor efficiencies, programmatic savings, and headcount
Strategic Decision Support:
Provide financial insights and guidance for strategic decisions, including capacity planning, investment analysis, and resource planning
Support senior management in the development of long-term financial strategies
Partner with team members to develop and evaluate business cases supporting investment opportunities
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Liaise with cross-functional teams within Finance (COEs, FP&A, Operating Units) and Operations (Supply Chain, Manufacturing., Quality, HR) to align financial goals with operational strategies
Train/educate others on financial processes and deliverables
Actively participate in the Tier systems and perform Gemba to solve problems.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 3+ years)
Nice to Have
Advanced Degree preferred: Master’s degree in finance / accounting or MBA preferred
SAP and Hyperion experience
Global Manufacturing Finance Experience, working in large, complex, matrix organization
Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence multiple diverse stakeholders
Results oriented with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple deliverables
Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to create actionable insights and plans
High degree of initiative and self-motivation; drive for continuous improvement

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,000.00 - $174,000.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
