Business Analytics Internship - Summer 2023
Job Description:
This Business Analytics Intern will be responsible for supporting our California Regulatory Affairs team with the filings for our HMO and PPO provider networks as required by the California Department of Managed Health Care. In this project-based internship, the selected candidate will prepare responses, track, and follow up on regulatory network comments. They will also be tasked with outreach to our provider population for various confirmations, clarifications, data points, etc.
This internship is a 100% remote opportunity based out of our California offices. This internship will run for 10 weeks (June 5th-August 11th) on a full-time, or 40 hours per week schedule.
How you will make an impact:
Reconciling large data sets with accuracy via various data tools and comparing data files to identify duplications.
Participating in network filing tasks including identifying potential issues, project change, and scope.
Managing existing and new network filing projects while leading efforts to identify best practices.
Creating basic project tracking and documentation and workflows to identify impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
Developing, designing, and documenting processes that support business needs.
Supporting various ad-hoc projects, as business permits.
Minimum Requirements:
Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Law, Business Management, Statistics, Economics, or related degree
Must be authorized to work in the U.S without future visa sponsorship requirements
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), strong proficiency in Excel is greatly preferred
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is preferred
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $18.53 to $27.80.
