Requirements
  • Ph.D. in an applicable scientific discipline preferably oncology, with post-doctoral fellowship training in a biomedical science discipline
  • Minimum Five years as a Medical Science Liaison, preferably in the oncology space
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as necessary up to 75% of the time
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, develop and continuously coach field-based oncology MSLs.
  • Manage MSL performance, ensuring excellence in execution of their role towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Support oncology MSL learning objectives and opportunities to maintain relevancy of product and commercial message training.
  • Plan, organize and manage oncology MSL group meetings and 1:1s with direct reports.
  • Understand employees’ strengths and actively work to build mutually beneficial relationships within oncology MSL team, Oncology Sales and the Diagnostics Commercial division.
  • Serve as a liaison between the oncology MSLs and Director, MSL.
  • Proactively initiate solutions to resolve inadequacies or challenges within oncology MSL team and internal Hologic departments.
  • Work collaboratively with Medical and Scientific Affairs, Marketing, Lab Director, Sales and other internal partners to ensure effective communication, timely problem resolution and exceptional clinical messaging is provided to our customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Medical Education and Marketing via attendance at Oncology conferences, trade shows, and other events to stay abreast of technical information, competitive updates and ensure necessary clinical presence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred 2+ years of team leadership experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, Excel and other popular business software desirable
