B11 Loan Reconciliation and Reporting Intermediate Analyst
The Loan Reconciliation and Reporting Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. The analyst is expected to apply in-depth specialty knowledge and applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools, industry standards and practices to perform high-impact loan remediation activities. Activities will have a moderate, direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided and close contact with businesses’ core activities. The analyst is expected to have a basic understanding of industry practices and disciplinary knowledge of the loans booking and servicing processes and to further develop such knowledge through experiential and structured experiences.
The Analyst must be able to exchange information in a systematic and communicable manner, be sensitive to audience diversity, and effectively exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Individual must be accountable, ethical, results oriented, trustworthy, and credible.

Responsibilities:
- Review loan documentation while providing support to a variety of tasks related to the loan process.
- Independently reconcile and resolve priority remediation activities (e.g., cash breaks)
- Identify root cause for remediation priorities
- Integrates a solid understanding of industry and business standards and practices of loan documentation processes
- Deals with most loan-related problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex issues, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes
- Applies judgment when interpreting data, preparing reports, and presents findings to management
- Make resolution recommendations based on identified trends and facts
- Support an expansive and/or diverse array of products (risk and control) services
- Follow established procedures to identify and resolve problems related to loan documentation/processing activities that require investigation or research
- Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements - understand and monitor errors to suggest solutions to reduce errors and adhere to audit and control policies.
- Timely management and escalation of all requests and issues related to loan processing
- Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Bank related systems
- Provides informal guidance and/or on-the-job-training to new team members
- Has direct interaction with external customers to disseminate or explain information
- Individuals who are emerging as an expert in a specific skill set, business area or product, but who remain focused primarily on daily execution
- Utilize communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information, while sensitive to audience diversity
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process
- Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services
- General awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation
- Able to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
- Reasonable awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to Policies
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$61,870.00 - $86,330.00
