Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in business operations, management consulting, project management, or a chief of staff role.
  • Direct people management experience and the ability to mentor and coach junior staff.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • The ability to operate strategically while executing hands-on work, building processes, driving accountability, and ensuring completion of work.
  • The ability to distill complexity and communicate concise conclusions to senior executives while keeping internal teams informed and aligned.
  • The ability to read situations, build trust across organizational levels, and navigate disagreement or tension with empathy and maturity.
  • Absolute integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information, executive dynamics, and internal matters with discretion and sound judgment.
  • A track record of pursuing and delivering measurable business outcomes with urgency and determination.
  • Curiosity regarding modern technology platforms and a strong interest or baseline experience using generative artificial intelligence tools.
  • The ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments where processes and organizational norms are still being defined.
  • The ability to lead through influence, remain accountable for another person’s growth and success, and work collaboratively.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the Leadership Team’s weekly tactical and monthly strategic meeting rhythms by setting agendas, tracking decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Manage the Operations Team’s meeting rhythms by setting agendas, tracking decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Oversee the corporate Objectives and Key Results process and timeline.
  • Operationalize the events and thought leadership strategy by maintaining a consolidated view of upcoming conferences and helping the Leadership Team coordinate attendance strategically.
  • Develop and administer semi-annual client surveys to monitor engagement quality and client satisfaction.
  • Lead development of the Chief Executive Officer’s State of AHG presentation for firm retreats and all-hands meetings by synthesizing financials, market trends, and strategic direction.
  • Lead the integration of artificial intelligence tools across AHG, identify platforms that provide leverage for client delivery and firm operations, implement solutions, and develop tools and workflows as appropriate.
  • Manage and further develop network management tools and processes, such as customer relationship management databases, to help the team build, maintain, and track relationships across utility, venture capital, and hyperscaler ecosystems.
  • Manage the development and execution of strategic events, including AHG-hosted climate week sessions, executive dinners, and conference workshops.
  • Own the collection and analysis of consultant timesheets to support operational and staff decision-making.
  • Manage onboarding and continued training of AHG staff through development and delivery of AHG University curriculum.
  • Take accountability for the success of team retreats, including shaping agendas and ensuring high-quality sessions.
  • Manage and support the development of the Executive Operations Manager.
  • Surface themes and concerns to the Leadership Team and Operations Team to inform people and operational decisions.
  • Help partners manage their time and advance company priorities by ensuring timely executive meeting preparation, including briefing documents, talking points, and background research.
  • Become an expert in AHG’s client work and coordinate directly with consulting staff to ensure executive preparation documents meet high standards and translate client priorities into effective executive engagement.
  • Ensure Leadership Team members enter high-stakes meetings knowing whom they are meeting, what they need to know, and what they are trying to accomplish.
  • Coordinate media and speaking engagement preparation, including maintaining expert-area guides for external communications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong preference for experience in the energy or clean technology industry.
  • An MBA, Master of Public Policy, or related master's degree.

ADHOC Group provides research and issue coaching that centers on reputation management.
