Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (Production Management, Business Administration, or related field) strongly preferred; closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
  • 5-7 years of progressive work experience in production control, purchasing and/or material management within a complex manufacturing environment; cup making or paper converting experience, preferred.
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, various manufacturing, and staff departments within the facility, and with groups outside the facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP and QAD.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, and detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions. Takes initiative and is self-directed.
  • High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without a great need of supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with and manage Production Control and Material Management Team of five (5).
  • Manage the scheduling of all finished goods and work in process.
  • Communicate with sales and customer service on any issues or opportunities.
  • Assist in development and execution of plant budgets.
  • Work with Demand Planning to determine capacity issues on new business.
  • Manage the creation of all bills of materials for finished goods.
  • Evaluate machine utilization to help determine the most cost-effective scheduling process.
  • Help in developing plans and coordinate all necessary materials for new products.
  • Track and communicate all forecast variances to sales and Demand Planning.
  • Identify bottlenecks and potential capacity constraints.
  • Maintain an OTIFNE score of 97% or higher.
  • Purchase and manage all paper, resin, and packaging inventories to ensure all equipment runs according to schedules.
  • Ensure that all corporate purchasing agreements and policies are followed on parts and supplies.
  • Develop and source new suppliers for both raw materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Implement cost reductions in all aspects of purchasing and scheduling.
  • Ensure achievement of safety goals through developing and supporting a culture of following defined safety procedures, encouraging involvement, following up on safety concerns, and modeling proper safe behaviors. Partner directly with HSE, as needed, to ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Ensure desired level of employee engagement within the Production Control and Material Management Team. This includes developing and supporting a culture of listening and responding to employee issues, taking decisive actions, recognizing excellent performance, and holding employees accountable for undesirable behaviors.
  • Ensure achievement of quality goals, ensuring employees are properly trained on quality standards. Partner directly with QA, as needed to ensure adherence to customer quality standards and execution of trials.
  • Ensure achievement of productivity goals by establishing and communicating clear objectives, providing requisite resources to direct reports, engaging the workforce, and setting appropriate priorities / monitoring progress.
  • Develop and support a culture focused on continuous improvement, waste reduction and optimal throughput.
  • Effectively communicate both up and down the organization on key issues (e.g., performance reviews, 1-on-1’s, safety meetings, overtime plans, monthly business results, etc.).
  • Evaluate direct report job performance and recommend appropriate personnel action.
  • Administer, communicate, and interpret work procedures and company policies to direct reports.
  • Provide team with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving issues or submits unsettled disputes to management.

Graphic Packaging appoints Melanie Skijus and Randy Miller to investor relations and treasury roles

Graphic Packaging Holding Company has appointed Melanie Skijus as vice president of investor relations and Randy Miller as vice president of treasury and capital finance. Both appointments take effect in late April 2026. Skijus rejoins Graphic Packaging after previously holding the investor relations role from 2019 to 2025. She brings over 15 years of experience across consumer packaging and financial services, most recently serving as vice president of investor relations at NCR Atleos. Miller will lead global treasury operations with focus on cash flow generation and capital structure optimisation. He brings more than 30 years of treasury experience, most recently serving as vice president and treasurer of Novelis since 2008. The appointments support Graphic Packaging's strategy of cash generation, disciplined capital allocation and strengthening its balance sheet.

Graphic Packaging Holding Company has appointed Jeffrey Stafeil to its board of directors. Stafeil currently serves as chief executive officer of RESRG Automotive and brings 30 years of leadership experience across automotive supply and industrial manufacturing sectors. Stafeil previously held senior roles including chief financial officer at Tenneco Automotive and Adient, chief executive officer at DURA Automotive Systems, and chief financial officer at Visteon Corporation and Metaldyne. Graphic Packaging profits fall 48% to $71M as CEO launches strategic review

Graphic Packaging reported net income of $71 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, down 48% from $138 million the previous year. Quarterly EBITDA fell 19% to $305 million, whilst net sales remained nearly flat at $2.1 billion. For the full year, net income dropped to $444 million from $658 million in 2024. Annual net sales declined 2% to $8.6 billion, partly due to the sale of a bleached paperboard facility in Augusta. Yearly EBITDA fell 20% to $1.3 billion. Total debt rose to $5.5 billion at year-end 2025 from $5.2 billion previously. The company returned approximately $281 million to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks. For 2026, Graphic Packaging projects net sales between $8.4 billion and $8.6 billion, with adjusted EBITDA of $1.05 billion to $1.25 billion.

Graphic Packaging misses Q4 earnings expectations despite $2.1B revenue beat

Graphic Packaging Holding Co. reported fourth-quarter earnings of $71 million, or 24 cents per share. Adjusted earnings came in at 29 cents per share, missing Wall Street expectations of 34 cents per share. The Atlanta-based packaging company posted revenue of $2.1 billion in the period, exceeding analyst forecasts of $2.02 billion. For the full year, Graphic Packaging reported profit of $444 million, or $1.48 per share, on revenue of $8.62 billion. The company expects full-year earnings between 75 cents and $1.15 per share, with revenue ranging from $8.4 billion to $8.6 billion.
