Experienced, 8+ years in developing and deploying top of the line user facing applications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field
Reporting directly to the engineering manager
Develop the architecture and technical direction of multi-quarter features that will be the future of our application
Hands-on with secure C++, or Lua code experience
Experience with QT/QML, React, Cocoa, WPF or other UI frameworks
Proficient in industry standards, best practices and design patterns

Oversee and provide complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution
Work cross functionally, across teams and technology platforms
Mentor team members helping them improve their professional skills and expertise
Develop technological practices, patterns, and strategies
Participate in building the world's best professional application for massively multiplayer game development

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Studio team, you will be an important contributor to the evolution of Roblox Studio which is the primary IDE for making massively multiplayer online games on the Roblox platform. Studio provides tools for 3D modeling, animation, complete SDLC and testing for teams and individual game developers.

You are:

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$218,540—$283,780 USD
