- Technicians must be clean-shaven to complete the fit test and maintain this grooming standard after starting, to use an Air-Purifying Respirator safely during specific tasks.
- Operate specialized equipment according to standard operating procedures under supervision.
- Implement safe work practices and participate in a proactive safety culture to protect employees, the public, and the environment.
- Complete training requirements and obtain certifications for assigned equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility areas and equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas using the 5S methodology.
- Perform minor facility repairs and empty trash as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance activities according to Total Productive Maintenance schedules.
- Work flexible hours and schedules to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Assist with receiving goods, including gas cylinders and dewar deliveries.
- Operate advanced control systems to select recipes, monitor processes, and operate automated machines.
- Develop skills to minimize equipment disruptions and provide input to engineers for equipment design improvements.
- An Associate’s degree in applied science or a relevant field is preferred.
