Requirements
  • Two years of custodial cleaning experience in a lead role, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • May require specialized training in cleanroom, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), and other specialty service policies and procedures, as well as certification in specialized equipment.
  • Ability to perform prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include heavy industrial facilities, offices, factories, refineries, and aerospace facilities.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies, perform assigned duties, and commute to other job sites when required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee assigned work teams and/or areas, ensuring work meets company quality standards and the client’s Statement of Work.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new associates on safety programs, company policies and procedures, cleaning procedures and processes, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client policies and procedures.
  • Inspect assigned work areas during and after completion and verify compliance with site-specific procedures, customer scope of work, and scheduled requests.
  • Verify that restrooms, clean rooms, and other logged areas meet quality standards and that work logs are initialed by the performing associate.
  • Promote safety among team members and wear required personal protective equipment when performing work.
  • Perform custodial work in accordance with the company’s cleaning procedures and processes.
  • Assist supervisors in motivating assigned staff, creating a positive work environment, and reporting issues to the appropriate management team.
  • Assist supervisors in resolving custodial problems.
  • Review work schedules periodically and recommend changes for efficient and cost-effective use of staff time, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure supplies are available and distributed, equipment is in good working order and repaired or reported promptly, and custodians have the tools needed for assigned work.
  • Help inventory, distribute, and monitor the use of janitorial cleaning materials.
  • Drive a company vehicle when required to pick up or deliver supplies, perform assigned duties, and commute to other job sites.
