  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of administrative or directly related experience.
  • Ability to work flexibly.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with general office equipment.
  • Good computer knowledge, including extensive experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in accountability, change effectiveness, collaboration and teamwork, communication, Hawaiian cultural commitment, and innovation.
  • Ability to support the diverse needs of the Athletics Department and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, grasp with light or fine manipulation, and talk or hear; occasionally stand or walk, write by hand, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach, work above the shoulder, or grasp forcefully.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and, when required, in non-standard workplaces.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to different departments within the division or group.
  • Receive and screen incoming messages and correspondence, provide information, respond to inquiries, disseminate information internally, and handle documentation including typing routine correspondence, transmitting, faxing, and copying as needed.
  • Establish and maintain confidential and general office files, including personnel, payroll, and student records.
  • Communicate with and provide information to visitors and outside sources.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining the department budget, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and reimbursement claims.
  • Coordinate and arrange staff events.
  • Assist with preparing department reports.
  • Provide backup to other administrative staff and cross-train.
  • Coordinate and execute sponsored events and staff travel.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, newsletters, and other program materials.
  • Maintain files and databases.
  • Assist with budget and purchasing activities.
  • Serve as a primary contact for visitors, students, families, coaches, and staff.
