Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in simulations of quantum systems and architectures
  • Python programming for scientific computing
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional setting
  • Experience with open quantum systems and quantum error correction/mitigation algorithms
  • Experience with many-body physics and algorithms, matrix product state and tensor network methods
  • Experience developing software and/or implementing algorithms to enable physics simulations
  • Experience writing glue code to connect and automate simulations involving multiple programming languages
  • Experience with parallel programming in Python/C++
  • Experience with automating workflows in high-performance computing environments, CI/CD and version control
Responsibilities
  • Perform quantum architecture and system performance simulations
  • Create documentation, gather requirements and write maintainable code following best practices to enable system performance and architecture simulations
  • Integrate different simulation softwares in the simulation stack
  • Automate, test and parallelize simulation workflow
  • Improve efficiency and code quality of overall simulation tools
  • Document and communicate software development activities to the engineering team
  • Maintain and improve build process, version control and CI/CD pipeline
