Requirements
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or design firm setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and local building codes
Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering calculations from first principles when templates are unavailable
  • Create construction drawing packages and write specifications for projects of limited complexity under supervision
  • Support construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and progress reporting
  • Participate in squad checks to ensure coordinated, high-quality deliverables
  • Mentor Designer I staff in translating engineering designs into Revit models
  • Contribute to advanced deliverables such as Basis of Design reports, Hazardous Material Summaries, Water/Waste Balances, Heat Transfer Calculations, Simulation Output Analysis, Process Descriptions, Equipment and Hygienic Piping Specifications, Room Cards
Desired Qualifications
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion
  • High proficiency in engineering calculations related to fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material/energy balances
  • Experience conducting field surveys and resolving field issues
  • Ability to lead and interface with clients and external partners
  • Proficiency in cross-discipline coordination and collaboration with vendors and construction partners
  • Skilled in 2D/3D design platforms (AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Programming proficiency is a plus
