Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in accounts payable management or relevant finance roles
  • Prior experience managing teams and overseeing Accounts Payable processes in a large corporate environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of engaging stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Solid understanding of communications, change management, and training
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the in-house Accounts Payable team as well as the overseas shared services team
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members for high performance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee timely processing of vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring compliance with SOX controls and signing authority policies
  • Follow up on missing receipts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner for accurate financial records
  • Ensure timely close of books to adhere to strict deadlines, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Review month-end accruals and reconciliations for accuracy in financial reporting
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and reduce errors
  • Develop, implement, and communicate processes, procedures, and improvements for efficient accounts payable operations
  • Establish KPIs to support accounts payable function growth and scalability
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis
