As a Security Architect at Thredd, you will be responsible for shaping and maintaining the organization’s security posture at an architectural level. You will oversee the implementation of security systems and strategies that ensure the protection of the organization’s digital assets and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities, collaborating with various teams, and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

What will you be doing?

• Work collaboratively with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to embed security-by-design principles in all technology initiatives.
• Provide security requirements and guidance during the design and implementation phases of projects.
• Proactively review and analyze the organization’s existing infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure the infrastructure meets the highest security standards.
• Recommend and oversee the implementation of appropriate security solutions, including tools, technologies, and practices.
• Ensure that security solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new trends.

What you need to achieve

• Cloud Security Expertise: Master the latest security technologies and architectural principles in cutting-edge cloud environments.
• System Hardening: Showcase your ability to secure operating system configurations and fortify systems against vulnerabilities.
• Advanced IAM Solutions: Implement innovative IAM solutions including SSO, MFA, federation, OAuth, SAML, provisioning (JIT, SCIM), and PAM to control and secure privileged access to critical systems and data.
• Network Security Architecture: Design secure network architectures, define and manage access controls, and safeguard data in transit and at rest. Bring your expertise in Zero Trust architectures to the table.
• Web Technologies: Tackle the security challenges associated with web applications, web services, and service-oriented architectures with ease.
• Encryption Standards: Lead with advanced knowledge of encryption standards, best practices, and technologies, including HSMs.
• Security Assessment Tools: Utilize top-tier security assessment tools and frameworks such as vulnerability management tools and SIEM systems.
• Sensitive Data Management: Manage sensitive data at scale in the cloud, ensuring compliance with industry frameworks like PCI DSS, GDPR, and ISO27001.
• DevSecOps Integration: Integrate security into the SDLC from the initial design phase through deployment and operations, embracing DevSecOps principles.
• Application Security: Design secure applications and data protection procedures that align with business objectives.
• Security Frameworks Knowledge: Navigate and apply security frameworks, regulations, and best practices with deep understanding.
• Soft Skills: Bring exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and drive security initiatives.
