Requirements
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience; four years of equivalent experience may apply.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, its Supplement, the Department of Defense Overprint, Defense Intelligence Community Directives, Intelligence Community Directives, and Special Access Program policy.
  • Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding Special Access Program, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and collateral data in support of U.S. military operations.
  • Provide day-to-day security support, including continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program.
  • Assist in providing contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.
  • Brief government and senior civilian-service personnel at all levels on security-related topics.
  • Conduct and document Special Access Program facility compliance reviews, follow-on facility reviews, and facility close-outs.
  • Monitor, report, and track corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews.
  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.
  • Conduct investigations of the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified or sensitive information, including preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
  • Coordinate with Special Access Program security personnel to incorporate lessons learned into the Special Access Program security education and awareness curriculum.
Desired Qualifications
  • Special Access Program experience.
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, which counts toward three years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification, which counts toward five years of experience.
