Requirements
- You bring a well-balanced mix of experience including deep analytics, data engineering, team management and product strategy
- Experience implementing/developing product analytics frameworks, techniques and reporting that deliver user insights, guide product decisions, and measure ongoing performance
- You have performed product analytics needs analysis and are capable of identifying and filling gaps in capabilities
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, SiSense), user experience tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Segment, MixPanel) and with data extraction, statistical analysis, modeling and general familiarity with data languages and statistical tools (SQL, Python, R, Stata)
- Experience working in experiment-driven product development. You are familiar with the different types of experimentation frameworks that impact product decisions. (Including but not limited to A/B testing, principles of causal inference, and statistical techniques like model-based evaluations of user behaviour)
- Experience in presenting complex, technical data in an easily digestible way in order to influence business change based on derived insights
- You are comfortable in a highly technical environment and can understand the nuances of technical decisions
- You will work with teams across multiple time zones

Responsibilities
- You'll deep dive into ecobee's current product analytics capabilities and create a roadmap for improving them. You will work with leadership to identify future needs of product analytics at ecobee and build out the function accordingly
- You will work with our BI team to build the infrastructure needed to create cohesive and consistent product analytics capabilities. In addition, the product analytics team will build the tool set and best practices needed to leverage product analytics infrastructure
- Consolidate and build out the reports needed to highlight KPIs, functional results, and product analysis. Product Analytics will act as an SME when it comes to using reports to answer critical product/business questions. The goal will be to reduce the time it takes for anyone to produce a product report, and to ensure that product reports are accessible
- Own the building and maintaining of the infrastructure needed to make experimentation easy and accessible to the product functions. You will create the best practices, tooling, and frameworks needed to conduct product experiments
- Build the infrastructure, processes, and capabilities to easily conduct and automate insights, and analytics activities
- You and the team will leverage input and output metrics from across the company to create the insights needed to improve our decision making
