Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a school principal in a high-need community, with a strong record of impact in areas such as teacher coaching and feedback, data-driven instruction, school culture, and professional development
  • Experience managing school leaders or leading network-level academic and instructional programs (e.g., principal supervisor, chief academic officer)
  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning for educators or instructional leaders in both online and in-person settings
  • Experience leading program vision, design, and strategic planning
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time

Responsibilities
  • Leading National Academies (50%) Set the vision and define the program models for Relay’s national leadership programs, including NPAF, NPSA, and ILPD, in alignment with the broader Professional Education team’s vision and strategy
  • Partner with the VP of Content and Professional Development to strategically plan enhancements to existing national programs and design potential new programs for school and system leaders, aligning with evolving needs in the educational leadership market
  • Collaborate with the Professional Education Partnerships team to ensure strong enrollment of Relay’s national leadership programs.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of annual scopes, content sequences, and participant experiences for national leadership program
  • Conduct data-focused reviews to analyze outcomes, set ambitious goals, create action plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure efficient, collaborative, and sustainable delivery of complex participant programming
  • Partner with the Events and Operations team to ensure a seamless and high-quality participant experience across all national program events
  • Lead a team of instructional and operations staff to deliver high-quality participant experiences
  • Serve as a model instructor and source of expertise for the national programs, resulting in a high level of program satisfaction from participants and positive outcomes for the K-12 students they serve
  • Serve as a member of the National Leadership Programs Team, teaching during Summer Intensives, Intersessions, and Learning Teams
  • Support the team in program management including serving as an advisor and grading assessments as well as managing advisors and their work flows
  • Content and Program Development (35%) Serve as a member of an internal Content Design Group(s), leading or contributing to the design of participant-facing PD sessions
  • Coach a portfolio of school and system leaders to apply Relay’s leadership content, improving leader efficacy, instructional quality, and student outcomes
  • Work collaboratively to identify critical needs and emerging trends in the landscape of school leader development and develop content and programming to respond to those needs such as equity-centered leadership or adaptive instructional coaching
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership (15%) Contribute to strategic planning, team learning, and cross-program collaboration across the Professional Education team
  • Support special projects and team initiatives as assigned, in alignment with team goals and evolving priorities
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Relay leadership programs, either as a team member, NPAF/NPSA alum, or as a school leader implementing Relay-aligned practices
  • Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
