Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field or 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with PLC/HMI systems
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Network and remote communications including radio, cellular, and TCP/IP networking a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong technical background
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Familiar with basic electric alternating current/ direct current circuits, control wirings and PLC controls programming
  • Knowledge of widely used control system packages such as Rockwell, GE Proficy, GeoSCADA or similar
  • Be available to support operations whenever needed (occasional nights and weekends)
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Ability to learn new water industry technology and teach
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain; climb ladders, hills and stairs; enter confined spaces to where SCADA equipment is located, moderate lifting up to 25 pounds; sit, stand and walk for long periods at a time
  • Must be able to speak, see clearly and hear. Must be able to smell gases
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the control systems to support reliable operations of plant and remote-facilities control systems.
  • Maintain the Utility SCADA standards and ensure compliance with Veolia, Industry, State, and Federal cyber security rules, guidelines, policies, and best practices.
  • Proactively evaluate, enhance, and develop preventative maintenance activities for instrumentation and control devices in the systems.
  • Manage data acquisition originated from SCADA or similar data source to ensure data quality and availability for operation/business needs.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Be a key member of the Veolia New York Smart SCADA upgrade project team.
  • Operate and maintain the control systems hardware/software, communication networks, and historical database systems.
  • Maintain control system Emergency coverage, with some night and weekend emergency work required.
  • Participate in the Veolia NY OPS Emergency Response Team.
  • Troubleshoot systems; perform root cause analysis, identify resolution options, implement best alternatives.
  • Oversee vendors for work performed on control systems and related devices (RTU modules, VFDs, Chemical pumps, Flowmeters, WQ instrumentation, etc.).
  • Support operations, engineering, and corporate departments in defining control system requirements balancing cost, efficiency, and security.
  • Travel to remote locations to troubleshoot, repair, and improve control systems as required to maintain continuity of service and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and repair control system communications including plant fiber optic, routers, switches, firewalls, cellular modems, and serial radios.
  • Develop operational procedures, reports, etc. to support operations and ensure regulatory compliance for internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate with the Utility M&S control system group regarding SCADA standards, significant system changes, problem-solving assistance, and keep proper updates and communication.
  • Coordinate with Veolia’s TS group regarding Industrial Control System cyber security, network maintenance, and computer system maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Veolia raises $1.3B in oversubscribed senior bond offering with $3.8B orders

Veolia has completed a €1.15 billion senior bond offering across two tranches. The issuance comprises €650 million with a four-year maturity at a 3.678% coupon and €500 million with an eight-year maturity at a 4.088% coupon. Veolia posts 10.4% net income growth in H1 2026, raises full-year guidance to 8%

Veolia Environnement reported revenue of €22.93 billion for the first half of 2026, up 1.5% at constant scope and foreign exchange, excluding energy prices. The company's EBITDA reached €3.55 billion, rising 5% with margins improving by 70 basis points to 16%. Current net income grew 10.4% at constant scope and forex, whilst net free cash flow improved by €164 million compared to the same period in 2025. The company achieved €195 million in efficiency gains during the period. Veolia completed its acquisition of Cleaners in the United States, which contributed to net financial debt of €24.5 billion. The company raised its full-year 2026 current net income growth guidance to at least 8%, citing strong operational performance and well-controlled financial charges. Revenue growth in water technology faced temporary delays in the Middle East due to geopolitical tensions.

Veolia launches $452M non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due 2032

Veolia Environnement has launched a €400 million offering of non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due January 2032. The bonds will be offered exclusively to qualified institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process. The synthetic convertible bonds offer exposure to Veolia's share performance but will be cash-settled only, without issuing new shares. The bonds will bear an annual interest rate between 0.50% and 0.75%, with a conversion premium of 20% over a reference share price. Concurrently, Veolia will purchase cash-settled call options to hedge its exposure. The company intends to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including purchasing the options. BNP Paribas and Natixis serve as joint global coordinators, with BofA Securities, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley as joint bookrunners. Veolia plans to list the bonds on Euronext Access within 30 days.

Veolia raises $791M through convertible bond offering to refinance 2021 debt

Enviri spins off New Enviri as standalone public company with $1.2B revenue after Clean Earth sale

New Enviri has launched as a standalone public company following the completion of Clean Earth's sale to Veolia Environnement.
