Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to address the strategic and holistic technology needs of Specialty’s commercial products generally supported by e2 and mPolicy/Maverick and future state of Policy Center (e.g. Property, Casualty & Professional, Workers Compensation, Package), including but not limited to digital distribution (APIs and Portals), data, forms, pricing, compliance, defect fixes, user experience and efficiency
  • Own strategic stakeholder engagement for assigned area, demonstrating a deep understanding of the business; proactively build relationships and connections across Operations, Specialty and broader Markel to optimize delivery of solutions
  • Build, foster and maintain relationships with broad stakeholder community, including engagement with underwriting, marketing, and operations teams to identify customer needs and business objectives
  • Manage team of Product Owners and BAs to: Ensure connection of macro level strategies and business needs to micro technical solutions; Drive delivery of scalable solutions that meet immediate and strategic business needs, aligned to strategic IT roadmaps
  • Partner across Operations department to link technology solutions to workflows and process changes, including UAT and training; Help drive technology and process transformation for Commercial & Risk Managed product areas
  • Manage and develop a diverse and high-performing team with a spirit of collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement
