Responsibilities
  • Provide Governance support of Oracle & SQL Server Databases including from managed service providers
  • Provide SME escalation point of contact for major incidents
  • Technical leadership and hands-on support for Goldengate
  • Migrations of Oracle & SQL Server systems from on-prem to Azure/AWS/Oracle Cloud platforms
  • Providing Database performance tuning support for major incidents including Goldengate
  • Managing SQL Servers & Postgres on Azure and AWS IaaS and Cloud Native platforms
  • Supporting Exadata databases on On-Prem and Cloud@Customer systems
  • Incident, Change, Knowledge, and Problem Management accountability
  • 24 x 7 x 365 incident escalations.
  • Managing Oracle database, RAC, Dataguard, Enterprsie Manager, Backup/Recovery, ZFS, Exadata operations
  • Support SQL Always On, Query Store/DMV views
  • Replication using Goldengate and SQL Replication
  • Resiliency, Stability, and Continuous Service Improvement for platforms
  • Capacity & Lifecycle Management of Platforms
  • Global standardization - Platform, services, and processes
  • Collaborates with Service Delivery, Engineering, ITSM, Architecture, Application teams, Technology vendors, Security, Application support and other infrastructure operations teams to operate resilient, and secure platforms at industry best standards
