Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, advanced degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of product experience, 5-10 years in the financial industry, 5+ years in Government related work either within or for US federal government
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to drive product vision and execution
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and product management tools
  • Strong and fast problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress
  • Maintains a calm, professional presence in dynamic settings; collaborates effectively with a wide range of personalities, thoughtfully addresses disagreements, and keeps work on track through complexity
  • Experience with modernizing legacy technology applications and operational workflows preferred
  • Extensive experience and deep expertise in product management

Responsibilities
  • Balances strategic perspective with hands-on execution; connects big-picture vision to clear priorities, translates strategy into actionable plans, and drives timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Provides administrative oversight of production support; standardizes and documents procedures, monitors adherence to controls and runbooks, and proactively communicates status and next steps to clients.
  • Works hand in hand with engineers, operations professionals, and leaders internally and at federal clients to define priority roadmaps for issues, features, assessments, and process/procedures.
  • Lead the development and execution of product strategies by demonstrating expertise in POM Product Management, ensuring alignment with BNY's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and roadmap, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of product enhancements.
  • Drive product innovation by incorporating user feedback and industry trends, thereby enhancing product offerings and maintaining competitive advantage.
  • Prioritize and manage product backlog in alignment with business goals, ensuring timely and successful product releases.
  • Facilitate agile development processes by providing clear guidance and decision-making to ensure efficient product delivery.
  • Monitor product performance and metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement and inform future product strategies.
  • With limited guidance, contribute to product development and strategy.
  • Support more experienced colleagues with relevant competitive, market and financial analysis to gain breadth of knowledge in relevant platforms, products and services.
  • Serving as a thought leader and expert within the product management team and across the organization.
  • Able to manage issue and incident management processes as they relate to client deliverables.
