Requirements
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with proven track record of delivering interior systems including seating requirements.
  • Knowledge and expertise in seats and automotive standard trim
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning and program management skills
  • A passion for electric vehicles and a vision for the future of mobility
  • Excellent Team building and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and meetings through technical tradeoffs and optimized solutions with attention to detail.
  • Broad vehicle technical and vehicle development process knowledge including how to set technical targets, work with teams to determine feasibility (virtually and physically) and validate with statistical confidence.
  • Design Release Engineering experience
  • Ability and Desire to build your own team and work in a fun and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the team responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to develop and deliver the Interior Systems and required releasing functions for electric vehicles.
  • Work closely with other functional groups, suppliers, and external partners to ensure the highest quality, performance, and aesthetics for Interior systems.
  • Manage the budget, timeline, and resources for projects and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Architect, design, develop, source, build, test, and launch interior systems to the quality standards of the company.
