Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in game development, with at least 3 years using Unreal Engine (UE5 or greater)
  • Proven track record demonstrating having launched simulation environments or shipping at least one high-quality game
  • Strong understanding of server-client architecture, matchmaking, and network optimization for online multiplayer games
  • Proficiency in C++, Blueprint scripting, and Unreal Engine’s toolset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a development team, including mentoring junior developers
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for overcoming technical challenges
  • Familiarity with game development processes including design, development, production, QA
  • Foundational knowledge of computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented)
  • Graduate degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or other related field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of machine learning practice and theory (preferred)
  • Military service or defense industry experience (preferred)
  • A background in simulation or training software development (preferred)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR requirement)
Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development of an immersive gaming simulation using Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to create innovative simulation environments and game experiences.
  • Architect and implement scalable systems for online multiplayer functionality.
  • Develop and optimize mixed reality interfaces to enhance user immersion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the development process.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of creativity and technical excellence.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our simulation remains at the cutting edge.
