SheerID is seeking a dynamic and visionary VP of Product Marketing to lead our global go-to-market growth strategy. The VP of Product Marketing is a results-oriented individual who has experience growing and scaling product adoption, launching new products, developing and refining buyer persona and ICPs, managing competitive intelligence and using data to inform our global product strategy and GTM plans. Learning from our customers, partners and sales team, the VP of Product Marketing will build and iterate on programs to drive customer acquisition and new product adoption against defined P&L models aligned with our Product Team’s launch timelines.
Your mission will be to inject fresh ideas, drive strategic initiatives, and lead our efforts in capturing market opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to disrupt markets, energize teams, and deliver impactful product marketing strategies that translate into measurable business growth.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging that resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the B2B SaaS industry selling to marketers, a proven track record of successful product launches, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling value propositions.
This position will report to the SVP of Global Marketing.
Role Specific Job Duties:
- Develop and execute a bold, innovative global product marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives and market dynamics.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to drive product differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches and major feature enhancements, ensuring market readiness and impactful introductions.
- Collaborate with product development, sales, and customer success teams to align on strategic priorities and execution plans. Use customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Conduct deep market research and analysis to uncover trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape shifts.
- Leverage insights to refine product positioning, messaging, and overall marketing strategy.
- Lead SheerID’s analyst relations strategy and interactions with key industry analyst firms.
- Provide input and strategy into product roadmap, strategy, and pricing based on market and customer research finding, industry analyst interactions and competitive findings.
- Partner with the demand generation team to create and execute innovative campaigns that drive product awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
- Continuously measure and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth.
- Nurture and leverage relationships with key thought leaders, influencers and key strategic customers and partners to help increase market awareness about SheerID.
- Conduct ROI/TCO analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for SheerID.
- Support the team in setting clear goals and key results. Ensure that those are communicated and visible across the company and progress is shared regularly.
Required Skills / Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing and related marketing functions in the B2B software industry, preferably within an area of application development.
- 8+ years of progressive management experience, with an emphasis on leadership, and engaging global and local stakeholders.
- Must have a strong analytical and quantitative skill set combined with a strength to analyze data, interpret and translate results to produce actionable changes.
- Experience building trusted relationships with executive sponsors and end users.
- Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving, technical environment.
- Able to coordinate across many teams and perform in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Will be highly-motivated and driven and will work relentlessly to achieve strong results and therefore grow the business. Will be energized by a rapid pace of change and strive to deliver beyond expectations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
Strongly Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience selling in identity/community verification for a B2B SaaS company.
- Technical background or clear understanding of developer products.
- Familiarity with standards, security, and privacy surrounding digital identity credentialing, proofing, identity attribute verification, and attribute management.
