  • A degree in Engineering is required.
  • Three to seven years of experience working with product development, product management, sales, design engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations in an industrial or commercial business-to-business environment is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product engineering and management principles, general practices and regulations, policies, and procedures is required.
  • Strong understanding of product engineering and management methodologies is required.
  • Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations is required.
  • Creative problem-solving and conflict management skills within centralized and matrix organizational structures are required.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze macro trends, addressable markets, growth rates, new and existing competition, target markets, differentiation opportunities, and financial aspirations in each market segment.
  • Execute Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales activities.
  • Develop the competitive landscape by gathering factual market reports, outlooks, market shares, and win-loss data to inform and refine the offering strategy.
  • Generate business propositions for capital investment, market growth, and improved market position of the offering category.
  • Develop target segments, verticals, and target accounts in addressable markets.
  • Support the offering roadmap in the context of strategy, including value propositions, business cases, launches, and in-market support.
  • Contribute to the annual business plan and its delivery and execution.
  • Manage revenue, standard margin, and sales contribution goals globally and across selling territories.
  • Manage execution of the pricing strategy, including price lists, ARMs, incentives and rewards, variable cost structure, and annual product-cost reduction targets.
  • Own the lifecycle of offerings from introduction and maturity through pricing, ongoing price management, ARM structure, retirement, and end-of-life stock-keeping units, coordinated to achieve business-plan and inventory-turn goals.
  • Work with Operations to ensure delivery against target-market requirements, monitor metrics, and develop improvement plans where required.
  • Work to improve quality and delivery.
  • Manage marketing and communication programs for the offering, including awareness, consideration, hit rate, and conversion objectives, in coordination with Corporate Marketing and Communications.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales to optimize the multichannel model for reach and profitability and adjust channel structures and incentives to meet or exceed strategy and annual business-plan goals.
