Job Description
The Performance Creative Senior Strategist will support a lead strategist on a select number of accounts and may serve as the lead strategist in some cases. You will be the connective tissue between brand and customer strategy, creative and enabling technologies that fuel personalization. You are curious and passionate about people, brands, marketing, content, social, digital and technology-enabled creative. You will be expected to understand our client’s main objectives, to question, inspire, and integrate. This is an opportunity for someone to craft innovative strategies. You will develop strategic briefs and test approaches, partnering with creative and channel teams to ensure accurate and high-quality execution. You love getting to know clients and being an expert at solving challenges for their business.
Team and Reporting Structure
You will join a team of 15 collaborative performance creative strategist and DCO strategists. You will be in office 1 day a week at (Chicago or New York) and it report into the VP, Creative Solutions Architect. The team is diverse in expertise and there will be opportunities to work with multiple team members.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Strategist you will work with other agency teams (Analytics, Customer Strategy, Media, Client Services) and act as the coordinator/integrator between those teams and Dentsu Creative teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of creative test strategies and roadmaps, including coordinating with other agency teams to ensure the sound execution and measurement of test plan recommendations.
- Interpret client test results to provide data-driven insights
- Use insight tools to develop meaningful audience insights that inspire relevance into creative implementation.
- Understand and organize client challenges to find solutions that extend the brand through the full-funnel experience and lead better performance.
- Work with creative teams to translate client challenges into inspiring creative strategies, ensuring the creative is on strategy and aligned with expectations.
- Operate as a solutions architect, sitting centrally between several Dentsu services (creative, customer strategy, analytics, media, data, research and technology).
- Work with a diverse team of creative strategists on developing innovative ideas, content programs and enabling technology blueprints.
- Lead research and pitch development for existing portfolio growth and new client opportunities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a strategy position.
- 3+ years of experience leading the development of creative test strategies and roadmaps. Overseeing execution and test plan measurements.
- Leading integrated marketing strategies with expertise in foundational customer strategy, creative strategy, communications planning, content, social and digital.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related field.
- Demonstrated past successes in business-to-consumer marketing.
- A passion for motivating clients, our teams or other strategists to approach solving marketing challenges in new and improved ways.
- Knowledge of Dynamic Content Optimization.
- Well versed in multiple marketing research tools and methodologies – from new ways of applying technology to conduct primary research, a deep working knowledge of 3rd party research, secondary research and social listening.
- A demonstrated fluency and comfort level working with multiple agency disciplines including direct mail, media, social, content, UX, analytics and technology.
- Financial Services experience is plus.
