Requirements
  • One year of related experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst or related role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, processes, and clinical workflows
  • Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications
  • Experience in system analysis, design, configuration, and testing
  • Knowledge of EHR systems and healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, CDA, ICD-10) is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including department leaders, clinicians, administrators, and IT staff, to identify business needs and requirements for the EHR software implementation
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Gather and document detailed business and functional requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to translate requirements into functional specifications, system design, and configuration
  • Collaborate with vendors and software developers to ensure that system design and functionality align with business requirements
  • Conduct system testing, including developing test cases, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure the system meets defined requirements
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with end-users, capturing feedback, and facilitating issue resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users during the training and adoption phase of the EHR software implementation
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and deliver training materials and user documentation
  • Participate in change management activities, including communication and stakeholder engagement, to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption of the new EHR system
