  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT solution delivery, with 5 years in a senior management or executive role.
  • Extensive knowledge of the US life insurance industry, its products, processes, regulations, and challenges.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale, and high-quality IT solutions that meet business goals and customer expectations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse and distributed team.
  • Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Experience in managing insourced and outsourced talent, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Experience in agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, and familiarity with various tools and technologies used in IT solution delivery including Jira and Planview.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, market trends and customer demands.
Responsibilities
  • Working with IT business partners and stakeholders, define and execute the IT solution delivery strategy, roadmap, and budget for the US life insurance industry.
  • Lead and manage a team of insourced and outsourced IT professionals onshore and offshore, including delivery managers, business analysts, developers, testers, scrum masters and support staff.
  • Ensure that IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, following the best practices and standards of quality, security, and compliance.
  • Align IT solutions with the business goals and customer needs of the US life insurance industry, and ensure that they are aligned with the overall IT vision and architecture.
  • Collaborate with other IT leaders, business stakeholders, and external partners to identify and prioritize business requirements, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Drive innovation, efficiency, and scalability of IT solutions, leveraging emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Manage the vendor relationships, contracts, and performance of the outsourced IT providers, and ensure that they deliver value and quality.
  • Monitor and report on the IT solution delivery performance, metrics, and risks, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the IT solution delivery team, and foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and excel.
