Requirements
  • Must be willing and able to work outside in the elements.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Must be willing and able to work in confined spaces on knees or elbows, lift baggage overhead frequently weighing 70 or more pounds, operate heavy machinery near the aircraft, and drive tugs.
  • Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license issued by a United States state, a United States territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Must be flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain United States Postal Service Mail Handling Certification.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Load, stow, and unload cargo and baggage in accordance with flight loading plans.
  • Pick up and deliver cargo, including mail, express, baggage, freight, company material, and commissary supplies.
  • Prepare, report, and account for documents relating to work performed.
  • Clean aircraft baggage pits and immediate work areas.
  • Operate automotive equipment in connection with the assigned duties after proper training.
  • Insert and remove chocks and safety lines.
  • Receive and dispatch aircraft when mechanical personnel are not immediately available.
  • Perform cleaner duties, including cleaning surrounding offices and aircraft, when required by service needs.

  • Physical labor experience and/or experience working in a warehouse environment.
