Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Education in sciences is preferred.
  • Lab experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in a controlled environment and/or regulated industry, is desired.
  • Must be able to work the overnight shift because the facility operates at night.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills are required.
  • Able to repeatedly follow detailed processing instructions.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, evaluate operating conditions, and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to frequently lift between 50 and 75 pounds.
  • Ability to see fine particulate and differentiate colors in liquid solutions.
  • Ability to hear, write in English, and speak English clearly to communicate in a manufacturing setting.
  • Manual dexterity is required for equipment operation and occasional reaching and lifting of small objects.
  • Ability to be an effective team member.
Responsibilities
  • Successfully complete extensive training, including e-learning assignments and hands-on components, to demonstrate and maintain proficiency.
  • Manufacture radioactive isotopes, including synthesis setup, hot cell manipulations, and distribution.
  • Conduct quality control testing of each batch using gas chromatographs, dose calibrators, multichannel analyzers, TLC plate scanners, high-pressure liquid chromatographs, analytical balances, PTS, laminar flow hoods, and fume hoods.
  • Work in an ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for use in drug production.
  • Perform environmental and personnel monitoring in ISO 5, ISO 7, and ISO 8 environments.
  • Coordinate the daily production run schedule based on customer and pharmacy needs.
  • Maintain daily production records, prepare reports, and maintain records.
  • Manage SAP inventory, including receiving materials, inspecting materials for use, and maintaining proper cycle counts.
  • Perform daily radiation safety tasks and general laboratory cleaning.
  • Execute standard operating procedures in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general maintenance.
  • Work in and maintain a sterile environment, including cleaning required equipment and the facility.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product and production expectations and demands are met.
  • Adhere to a large volume of standard operating procedures and adapt to process improvements.
  • Learn and use technology to support manufacturing processes.
  • Manage inventory.

Cardinal Health forecasts profit above estimates on specialty drug demand, eyes $1B buyback

Cardinal Health forecast fiscal 2027 profit between $12.40 and $12.60 per share, exceeding analyst expectations of $12.04, driven by strong demand for specialty drugs. The US drug distributor's shares rose over 4% in premarket trading. The company's fourth-quarter adjusted profit of $2.91 per share beat estimates of $2.42. However, total revenue of $63.67 billion missed expectations of $65.03 billion. Cardinal Health is benefiting from rising demand for biosimilars and high-margin medicines treating cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune diseases. Its Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions unit saw sales increase 6% to $55.4 billion. Last month, Cardinal purchased AdaptHealth's diabetes business and Strive Medical for approximately $360 million combined. The company also announced $1 billion in planned share repurchases for fiscal 2027.

Cardinal Health has agreed to acquire multi-specialty supply company Strive Medical and AdaptHealth's diabetes business for a combined $360 million in cash. The drug distributor said the acquisitions will expand its at-home solutions business, which delivers medical supplies directly to patients. The deals build on Cardinal's recent investments in home care services. The company's at-home unit generated $1.7 billion in revenue during its third quarter this year, helping grow profit by 34% year over year. Cardinal expects the acquisitions to be earnings accretive within a year of closing. AdaptHealth's diabetes unit serves over 225,000 patients annually, primarily delivering continuous glucose monitors.
