Job Description: Database Lead Primary - MS SQL and Oracle DBA Lead Secondary - MySQL an PostgreSQL Overview The Database Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of database professionals. Key Responsibilities Database Design & Architecture: Develop and implement database architectures that meet the organization's requirements. Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all database systems. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of database administrators and developers. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation and efficiency. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure fast and reliable access to data. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner. Security & Compliance: Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Project Management: Manage database-related projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with other departments to align database strategies with business goals. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in database management and leadership roles. Expertise in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. Certifications in database management or related technologies. Experience with cloud-based database solutions.
