Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or a related human services field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Completion of the required curriculum training or attainment of the associated certification within the first year of employment, with employment contingent on acquiring the minimum certification or licensure.
  • Knowledge of social work practices.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and confidential work environment.
  • Ability to understand and model cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and workforces.
  • Ability to work flexible hours that vary according to client needs.
  • Reliable personal transportation, a valid Texas driver's license, and current auto insurance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing community outreach to recruit participants into the program.
  • Complete intake, program screeners, and assessments to determine recommendations or support services for clients.
  • Provide ongoing case management services for fathers enrolled in the program, using client and family input.
  • Develop a plan of service selecting and outlining services and interventions from DePelchin and the community to address needs identified through assessment.
  • Assist clients with referrals to community services identified in the plan of service and advocate for individual clients and their families to receive entitlements or needed services.
  • Maintain current records and meet all agency recording requirements.
  • Maintain monthly statistics and data needed for program accountability and billing for client services, as applicable.
  • Provide curriculum-based groups to families in the community, as needed.
  • Facilitate curriculum-based groups and deliver presentations for families in community settings.
  • Attend community events and activities to market programs and recruit participants, as directed by grant requirements.
  • Conduct intake and assessment, develop treatment plans, and provide supportive case management to group participants.
  • Work closely with the surrounding community to provide advocacy and referral services.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
