Requirements
  • BICSI-Tech or CTS-I (current credentials or ability to obtain them within 6-12 months)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical or vocational training in electronics or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a low voltage technician
  • Crestron Programming 101

Responsibilities
  • Physically inspect active projects to ensure that systems meet code, compliance standards, and best practices
  • Produce comprehensive reports with findings and next steps
  • Oversee, coordinate and verify the install of complex low voltage systems, including security systems, audio/visual systems, network infrastructure, and lighting control
  • Perform preventative maintenance on low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Use expert knowledge of signal flow, basic logic, active components, and manufacturer software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Repair faulty systems to meet industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including test results and troubleshooting procedures, serial numbers and MAC Addresses, software and firmware versions, shop and As Built Drawings, and control protocol IDs (if applicable)
  • Provide training and guidance to newer technicians
  • Assist in project planning and execution to meet deadlines and budgets while providing quality and customer service
