The Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO) is a position that exists in Telix to:

• Articulate “the voice of the patient” internally by putting it first in all decisions and evaluating all factors relevant to a patient’s informed decision making, including quality of life
• Foster a Company culture of medical and scientific rigor, and ethical behaviour
• Represent the ethical and medical voice of the Company externally and lead cross-industry collaboration on medical topics
• Play a leading role in weighing clinical benefit versus risk, as well as a Telix product’s medical value versus its price
• Define consistent global standards for medical and scientific activities.

The DCMO will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and leading the strategic direction of: 1) Telix’s clinical development programs for both diagnostic and therapeutic assets in Phase I – III development; and 2) the Company’s medical affairs activities for commercial-state assets. The primary intended outcome of the DCMO’s role is ensuring the delivery of safe and effective radiopharmaceutical diagnostic and therapeutic products to patients globally.

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Medical Officer (GCMO), the DCMO will provide leadership, guidance, and expertise in all aspects of clinical development for pipeline assets, and medical affairs for commercial-stage assets, thus contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Key Accountabilities

Clinical Strategy and Leadership:

• Collaborate with the CMO and cross-functional teams to develop and execute clinical development strategies for Telix’s diagnostic and therapeutic assets aligned with the corporate vision and objectives, and regulatory and market access requirements
• Provide medical and scientific leadership and oversight for global clinical trials, ensuring adherence to study protocols, ethical standards, and relevant regulatory requirements, guidelines and standard.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging scientific and clinical data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for pipeline expansion and optimization
• Lead pharmacovigilance, medical monitoring, medical writing and biostatistics activities associated with the Company’s clinical development programs

Medical Affairs:

• Lead key medical affairs activities, including medical information and medical education programs, to support the safe and appropriate use of Telix’s products
• Serve as a key medical expert and liaison with healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders to advance understanding of Telix’s commercial-stage assets and the disease areas that they serve.

Regulatory Affairs:

• Partner with global regulatory affairs teams to develop and execute regulatory strategies for investigational and commercially marketed products, including interactions with regulatory agencies worldwide
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines throughout the product lifecycle, from clinical development to post-marketing activities.

Leader of People:

• Advocate for and instill within the Global Medical Directorate team the importance of Telix’s values: Everyone counts; we strive to be extraordinary; we act with determination and integrity
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities for the Global Medical Directorate team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, research & innovation, commercial, and corporate functions, to drive alignment and integration of medical strategies
• Demonstrate leadership for Telix’s quality, governance, and compliance systems through active promotion of standards and procedures and ensure that team members are suitably trained and developed to perform roles effectively and safely
• Take an active interest in team members and their well-being, and endeavor to attract, develop and retain the best talent, to deliver Telix’s current and future business objectives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MD, MBBS etc.) is required
• Current medical registration (State or Federal) is preferred
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in R&D, clinical development, and medical affairs within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, including senior leadership roles is required
• Experience within oncology and/or nuclear medicine is required
• Experience in early, mid, and late-stage development, lead and adjacent indication identification, and the generation of relevant clinical data
• Demonstrated knowledge and prior success with global regulatory requirements and guidelines governing clinical development and drug approval and market access processes
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders
• Proven track record of strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving in complex and dynamic environments
