Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience, is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented office and field environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
  • Manage work schedules and coordinate design changes and plan revisions with project owners.
  • Understand the project scope and regularly consult field operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Review project requirements, adjust the project schedule scope, analyze specifications, coordinate with the production team, and track contract pay items.
  • Update the project schedule with input from Field Operations according to contract specifications.
  • Compile subcontractor bids and estimates and distribute contract documents at the project site for management input.
  • Work with and directly under Project Management.
  • Oversee and ensure that safety policies are followed.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project setup and closeout.
  • Process and track all submittals and Requests for Information, including logs.
  • Create and maintain the project Critical Path Method schedule with logic input from Project Management and Field Operations.
  • Assist Project Operations with two-week look-ahead schedules, including weekly two-week Critical Path Method look-aheads with resource loading for Florida Department of Transportation projects.
  • Attend, maintain, or assist in maintaining minutes for weekly progress meetings when the owner does not provide them.
  • Coordinate with Survey on project issues requiring survey involvement or Requests for Information.
  • Confirm that contract drawings conform to Engineer of Record revisions, Requests for Information, and Construction Specification Institute modifications.
  • Assist the Project Manager with quarterly look-ahead schedules and projected resource needs.
  • Provide accurate field quantities with assistance from the project superintendent for billing, cost control, projections, and cost-to-complete support, and load the quantities in Heavy Job.
  • Assist with reviewing labor and equipment reports with field personnel in relation to the budget.
  • Assist in scheduling, tracking, and coordinating subcontractors and permanent material deliveries.
