Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing roles.
  • Experience with QA tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Must possess a Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Familiarity with DoD security standards, including DISA STIG and NIST guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance (QA) processes and standards for all EDAT program deliverables, including software, infrastructure, and training materials.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with DoD regulations, contractual requirements, and established quality standards.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate system functionality, performance, and security.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for applications, infrastructure, and data systems to identify and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with development, engineering, and program management teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to enhance QA methodologies and improve product delivery timelines and quality.
  • Maintain detailed records of QA activities, including test results, defect tracking, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present QA reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure QA processes are integrated into the development lifecycle.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on QA best practices, tools, and techniques.
Desired Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • QA-related certifications such as Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), ISTQB Certified Tester, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
  • Experience with testing in DevSecOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with USSOCOM’s operational requirements and the SOF Information Environment (SIE).
  • Previous experience supporting DoD programs with strict QA and compliance mandates.
  • Experience in applying Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance QA workflows.
  • Ability to design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure QA effectiveness.
  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present QA findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
