Requirements
  • Experience in similar capacities such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • Must demonstrate honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, learn, read, concentrate, think, and communicate.
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand for up to eight hours and bend, stretch, reach, climb, and kneel.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to handle linens, terry, and other supplies while considering sanitation and cost controls.
  • Must understand safety and security measures and report or correct hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Must know the guidelines in the training checklist for areas to be maintained.
  • Must know emergency procedures.
  • Must be able to assist with guest issues professionally and maintain a hospitable, caring attitude.
  • Must maintain guest privacy.
  • Must follow company procedures systematically.
  • Must perform basic maintenance repairs, including fixing leaking faucets and running toilets.
  • Must be able to clean guest rooms to brand standards and according to the room-attendant training checklist.
  • Must be able to work alone without direct supervision and work as a team member.
  • Must comply with all standards, multitask, remain service-centric, and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
  • Must be available to work any day or shift, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Keep public areas of the hotel, grounds, and parking lot clean while maintaining brand standards and providing guest service when necessary, including assisting guests with baggage and with entering or exiting vehicles or guest rooms.
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely and hospitable manner, including delivering shampoo, towels, and rollaway beds.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of hotel equipment.
  • Set up meeting rooms when applicable.
  • Adhere to general cleaning guidelines for the public areas of the property.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Assist in the housekeeping, laundry, or maintenance department with other duties the associate is capable of performing.
