FactSet Research Systems trades at a forward P/E of 13.95 despite recording its largest quarterly contract value jump ever. The company's annual subscription value grew 7% organically to $2.57 billion in fiscal 2026, exceeding management guidance, with retention above 95%. AI-related products comprised over 10% of new subscription value in Q4, surpassing all of fiscal 2025 combined. Clients using AI offerings increased spending twice as fast as others. However, adjusted operating margin fell 1.8 percentage points to 34.5% due to infrastructure and cybersecurity investments. Next year's organic subscription growth is guided at 5% to 6.5%, below this year's 7%. Institutional ownership increased, with 47 hedge funds holding shares versus 39 previously. Short interest stands at 12.43% of float, reflecting market skepticism about AI disruption to the data business.

FactSet has acquired BCC Group International, a Germany-based financial software firm specialising in cloud-native market data distribution platforms. The deal expands FactSet's Real-Time Solution Suite and builds on a collaboration between the companies since 2021. The acquisition brings bccg's ONE Platform into FactSet's offering, providing clients with flexible deployment options and modular architecture. The combined solution addresses growing infrastructure demands from 24-hour trading operations, AI integration, and enhanced regulatory requirements. The platform offers an open ecosystem combining exchange feeds, third-party content, and proprietary data with centralised entitlements management and compliance reporting. It supports cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment through API-first integration. FactSet serves over 9,100 global clients and 247,000 individual users. BCC Group, founded over 20 years ago, delivers vendor-neutral platforms for banks and trading firms. FactSet said the transaction would not materially impact its financial results.
Building a stronger foundation for deep company modeling: FactSet partners with InSync Analytics. September 22, 2026 For buy-side analysts, building and maintaining a company model takes real effort that could otherwise go toward developing an opinion on a name. Especially during earnings season, updating models is cumbersome and time consuming. FactSet is partnering with InSync Analytics to give some of that time back. The collaboration gives institutional asset managers and hedge funds direct access to more than 2,500 detailed, Excel-based company models, InSync Actuals, and FactSet broker consensus estimates, all within FactSet's platform. Manual model creation and updating is labor-intensive, and disparate broker data is hard to compare and aggregate. This partnership addresses both problems directly, and it's the first step in a growing collaboration between FactSet and InSync.
