AI lab founders score 22-point reputation gap: Hassabis tops at 86, Altman trails at 64

5W AI Communications has released the first edition of its Reputation Index, scoring three leading AI lab founders across AI platforms. Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis scored 86, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei 82, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman 64. The analysis attributes Hassabis's top score to his credentials, including a PhD in cognitive neuroscience and the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Amodei's Princeton PhD and AI safety work supported his score. Altman's lower score reflects his November 2023 board removal, which still surfaces in 62% of prompts across five AI engines despite being 30 months old. OpenAI leads company-level AI visibility at 24.6% citation share, illustrating how founder and company reputations can diverge. The research examined ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

Haute Living and 5W AI Communications launch the South Florida Luxury Real Estate AI Visibility Index(TM)- cipriani Residences Miami ranks number one.

Haute Living and 5W AI Communications launch the South Florida Luxury Real Estate AI Visibility Index(TM)- cipriani Residences Miami ranks number one. Jul 21, 2026, 15:58 ET First monthly benchmark of how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews describe South Florida's top new luxury developments MIAMI, July 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - HL Real Estate Group, of Haute Living, in partnership with 5W AI Communications, today launched The South Florida Luxury Real Estate AI Visibility Index(TM) 2026 - the first standing measurement of how the AI engines describe the twenty developments on the Haute Living Top 20 New Luxury Developments in South Florida. Cipriani Residences Miami leads at an AI Visibility Score of 94 - the highest in the study. Bentley Residences Sunny Isles Beach ranks second at 91. Aston Martin Residences ranks third at 89. Faena Residences Miami Beach, The Residences at Six Fisher Island, Rivage Bal Harbour, and Four Seasons Private Residences Coconut Grove complete the Anchor Tier - the seven buildings that appear in the top three of more than 70% of high-intent luxury real estate prompts tested across the five leading AI engines in Q2 2026. More than a third of luxury property buyers now begin research inside an AI engine rather than Google or Zillow. A ChatGPT prompt about the best new luxury condos in Miami returns three buildings, not thirty. The developments the AI names capture buyer inquiries at rates disproportionate to their editorial visibility. The developments the AI does not name are functionally invisible to a growing share of the market. 5W calls this structural shift the AI Concierge Economy for Real Estate(TM)- the move from listing portals to conversational recommendation as the top of the luxury real estate funnel. The Index measures each development against the twelve interlocking trust signals 5W identifies as the Luxury Real Estate Authority Cluster(TM): developer pedigree, hospitality-brand concentration, micro-market authority, visual distinctiveness, press velocity, and seven additional inputs. "The AI engines return three buildings, not thirty. That's the entire game," said Ronn Torossian, Founder and Chairman of 5W AI Communications. "Being one of the three is the difference between a phone ringing at the sales gallery and a floor plan sitting on Zillow. The buyers have already moved to the chatbox. The industry needs to catch up." "Our editorial team has ranked the buildings buyers are chasing for two decades," said Kamal Hotchandani, Founder and CEO of Haute Living. "The AI engines are now answering the same question at their own pace. Publishing both rankings side by side, every month, is the honest thing to do - and the useful thing for our readers. This is the first monthly benchmark of its kind anywhere in luxury real estate." The Haute Living Top 20 refreshes on the first of every month. The AI Visibility Scores refresh quarterly, with the next testing window scheduled for Q3 2026. Forbes beats The New York Times in AI citation rankings, paywalls blamed

5W AI Communications released the first ranking of America's 50 largest publications by how often AI answer engines cite them. Forbes topped the index with a score of 98, followed by Reuters at 91 and The New York Times at 88. The study found that paywalled publications consistently rank below their reach, as AI engines cannot cite content they cannot access. The Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post all ranked below their reputations, whilst Forbes — free, structured, and contributor-driven — led the rankings. The top 15 publications hold roughly 68% of AI citation volume. Non-traditional sources like Reddit, Wikipedia, and YouTube also rank highly, despite not selling placement. The index scored 50 US publications across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews during Q2 2026.

Coinbase tops AI crypto trust rankings as engines warn against FTX, Celsius years after collapse

5W, an AI communications firm, has released The Crypto Trust Index 2026, analysing how AI engines recommend cryptocurrency brands to first-time buyers. The research evaluated 25 crypto exchanges across five AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Coinbase topped the rankings with a Trust Score of 94, followed by Kraken (87), Fidelity Crypto (82), Gemini (77) and Bitwise (73). The study found AI engines consistently deliver verdicts rather than neutral responses, categorising brands as recommended, hedged or warned against. Five collapsed platforms — FTX, Terra/Luna, Voyager, Celsius and Pump.fun — received active warnings. Binance, despite having 280 million users, ranked 12th with a score of 47, with engines citing regulatory settlements. The research revealed regulation and disclosure outweigh trading volume in AI recommendations.
