Overview

College Board is a nonprofit membership organization that develops assessments and college and career planning tools for students, schools, and universities. Its SAT measures reading, writing, and math skills, while its Advanced Placement program pairs college-level high school courses with exams that colleges use to award credit or advanced placement. Students use BigFuture to explore careers, compare colleges, and find ways to pay for their education. The organization also convenes educators through its membership and supports decisions about education through research and guidance. Founded in 1900, College Board is headquartered in New York City.
