German company ARX Robotics and Ukraine's Roboneers have formed ARX Industries, a joint venture to mass-produce unmanned ground vehicles. The partnership will manufacture the battle-tested Rys Pro UGV across facilities in Germany and Ukraine, supporting Ukraine's target of supplying 50,000 UGVs to its military in 2026. ARX Industries aims to produce thousands of Rys Pro units in its first year, scaling to tens of thousands annually. The vehicles will handle casualty evacuation, frontline logistics, mining operations and combat roles. The joint venture integrates frontline feedback directly into production cycles. Supported by Ukrainian and German governments under the Build with Ukraine initiative, the partnership strengthens European defence manufacturing capacity whilst delivering critical equipment to Ukrainian forces.
ARX Robotics, a Munich-based defense tech start-up, has secured €9 million in seed funding. The company develops scalable robotic systems for defense and commercial use, with its modular GEREON unmanned ground vehicle series already in service with several European armies. The funding, led by the NATO Innovation Fund, will be used to expand the team and scale production in Europe, contributing to European tech resilience and sovereignty.
ARX Robotics has secured an additional €11 million in a Series A extension, bringing the total to €42 million. The funding, led by Speedinvest with support from HV Capital, will be used to expand ARX's software platform and increase production of its UGVs. The company aims to enhance European defence capabilities through its AI-driven, integrable systems. ARX plans to build more production facilities and form strategic partnerships to support its growth.
ARX Robotics, a Munich-based defense tech company, has extended its Series A funding round by an additional €11 million, led by Speedinvest, with participation from HV Capital. This brings the total Series A funding to €42 million. Initially, in April 2025, ARX Robotics secured €31 million led by HV Capital. The company specializes in autonomous unmanned ground vehicles and has supplied the largest Western-developed UGV fleet to the Ukrainian army.
Germany is leading Europe's defense tech funding surge, with ARX Robotics securing €50 million for battlefield robots. These autonomous systems enhance soldier safety and effectiveness. Swarm Biotactics, another German startup, raised €10 million for biorobotic systems using sensor-equipped cockroaches for data collection. Britain's Skyral raised $20 million for military simulation tech. This trend highlights a shift towards AI, robotics, and bio-integrated systems in defense strategies.
